Everything you need to know about color analysis, our services, and what to expect. Still curious? We're happy to help.
Color analysis is a system that helps you identify the colors that harmonize with your skin tone, hair, eyes and natural features. Knowing your palette helps you choose makeup, hair color, and clothing that make you look healthy and radiant without putting too much effort. It can also help you save time and money on pieces that don't work.
The problem with the traditional seasonal color analysis is that it can be very Eurocentric. And the more I've studied and searched for a perfect system, the more I realized that there is no perfect system but that each system has its strengths.
Filipino skin tones are beautifully diverse and combining multiple systems and point of views gives us the most accurate and practical results that can be tailored to any skin tone, ethnicity, or race.
Both the Signature and Executive Color Analysis packages are meant to be for anyone, regardless of gender. It is the same process of finding colors that harmonize with you. The only thing that may differ is in application — some men may prefer not to talk about makeup, but instead we can talk more about clothing combinations, or suits and ties.
I personally don't believe in restricting anyone to just a palette. That's why I focus a lot on understanding and seeing what is happening, because the true goal of a color analysis is to give you the tools and language to make confident choices in the way you dress and show up.
If there are significant changes in your skin and hair, I recommend coming back in to reassess. But hopefully you understand the concepts enough to know how to adjust with the changes. But if not, I'll be here to help.
Give your palette a chance for at least 1–2 weeks. If after that time you still feel like something is off, don't hesitate to communicate with me and I will be more than happy to help you figure it out.
It's best to come in your most natural state.
Makeup/Face Products — Please do not wear any tinted face products or makeup (including tinted moisturizers/SPFs, foundation, concealer, BB/CC creams, color correctors, blush, bronzer, contour, or mascara). These can all really skew the results.
Clothes — you may wear any colored top but please avoid high necklines and long sleeves. If you wear a headscarf, turban, or other head covering, please wear a light neutral color (e.g. beige, white, cream, etc.) if possible.
Hair — Please bring a hair tie or hair clip, so that we can easily keep your hair behind you/off of your face throughout the draping process. Ideally I can see the natural color of your roots but if it is colored do not worry, we may cover it with a cloth.
Glasses — If you are a person who wears contacts and glasses, wearing contacts to your appointment can help you to more easily see the changes in your face as we test different colors on you. But, if you only wear glasses, we can be flexible and accommodate for them.
Sunburns & Tans - If you are more tan than normal it is still possible to get an analysis (Only natural tan; No fake tans please). However, If you are sunburnt, I would wait for the redness to calm down as this could make it harder to read your colors.
I unfortunately only accommodate guests who have booked an appointment at the time because a big part of the session includes education and application practices that anyone in the room can benefit from (even if they are not draped). Thank you for understanding.
Note: This does not apply to guests who are a previous clients of mine & have already received a color analysis from me. In this case, you are always welcome back at the studio.
