From personal struggle to a mission of confidence

True Hue Cebu began when I needed to find my way back to myself.

Hi, I'm Cara, the founder of True Hue Cebu.

I discovered color analysis during a season when I had lost touch with the woman I saw in the mirror. After becoming a single mother, so much of my identity had shifted. I knew I had grown stronger—but the way I saw and presented myself no longer reflected the woman I was becoming.

Color analysis gave me clarity.

Learning which colors brought life back to my face changed more than the way I dressed. It helped me feel present, intentional, and recognizable to myself again. With every thoughtful choice, I began rebuilding my confidence from the outside in.

That personal transformation became the heart of True Hue Cebu: helping people see the beauty that is already there and giving them the tools to express it with confidence.

A trained eye, shaped by more than color analysis

I am a three-time-certified color analyst, with professional training in Japan, Korea, and Australia. I have also studied the Munsell system, giving me a broader understanding of how color, light, contrast, harmony, and visual perception work together beyond color analysis.

But my eye for color and beauty wasn't developed in one classroom.

My background in Applied Economics trained me to notice patterns, analyze details, and make thoughtful recommendations rather than rely on guesswork.

As a fashion boutique owner, I personally selected clothing, studied trends, styled displays, and learned what people genuinely want to wear. That experience taught me that good style must do more than look beautiful—it has to feel natural, practical, and true to the person wearing it.

My work in real estate and interior design showed me how the right details can transform a space into somewhere you feel you belong. Today, I apply that same philosophy to people: I want you to feel at home in your body, your wardrobe, and your reflection.

Photography further shaped the way I see. It taught me how light changes color, how one small detail can transform an entire image, and how to recognize beauty that might otherwise be overlooked.

Looking back, everything I had done before—interior design, fashion, and photography—suddenly had a purpose. Together with my professional training, it all came together to help people feel seen, understood, and confident.

Now, I get to guide others through the same journey I experienced: from feeling disconnected from their reflection to feeling empowered by what they see.

That is what I bring to every consultation: technical knowledge, an experienced eye, and the ability to recognize what is uniquely beautiful about you—sometimes before you can see it yourself.

It all starts with me learning more about you and your goals. While you learn about the basics of color theory and color analysis. My goal is always to make sure you understand what is happening, so you truly learn how to make the colors work for you not get stuck on blindly following a palette.

Next, we use a series of drapes and other color tools to understand how your skin and features react to colors. I take this process step by step, giving you a personal interpretation of the results — so you clearly see and understand what is happening, rather than just me telling you what looks good.

Lastly, you'll learn practical tips about how to shop for your colors, when it's most important to consider your colors, and even how to break some color rules. Don't worry — you'll be given all the summaries and resources needed to go on your color journey.

I am fully committed to finding the palette that best reflects your unique coloring and features. But color analysis is an art as much as it is a science, and no process involving human observation can claim to be completely infallible.
